Accountant / Client Accountant

Location: Birmingham-based - hybrid
Hours: Full-time
Salary: Up to £45,000
Start: October 26

About us

JDR Admin is a fast-growing, cloud-based accountancy practice supporting ambitious businesses across a wide range of industries - from TV producers and jewellery brands to leading consultants in the AI space. We pride ourselves on providing a proactive, personal service that goes beyond traditional compliance.

As a boutique firm, we're able to move quickly, embrace new technology and build genuine relationships with both our clients and our team. With rapid growth over the last two years, we're building a high-performing Birmingham-based team to take us further.

The role

We’re looking for a capable accountant to own the day-to-day client relationship and preparation of work across a portfolio of clients, from bookkeeping through to draft accounts, tax and compliance, with technical review and sign-off before anything is finalised.

This is a genuine hands-on practice role, not a supervisory one - ideal for someone who wants to build their technical experience across a real variety of clients, with support and review rather than being left to sink or swim.

Reasons to use Rodeo

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?

Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.

Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Start with a chat, not a search bar

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.
