A well-established and growing property management business based in the heart of Soho is seeking a Client Accountant to join its expanding finance team.

Following continued portfolio growth, this newly created position offers the opportunity to work closely with senior finance leaders and property management professionals in a fast-paced and collaborative environment.

The successful candidate will play a key role in delivering accurate client accounting services across a diverse property portfolio, ensuring compliance, strong stakeholder relationships, and high-quality financial reporting.

Key Responsibilities

  • Prepare and maintain client accounting records across a varied property portfolio.
  • Produce monthly and quarterly client reports, including income and expenditure statements, balance sheets, and bank reconciliations.
  • Manage rent and service charge accounting, ensuring all transactions are recorded accurately and in a timely manner.
  • Reconcile client bank accounts and investigate discrepancies.
  • Assist with the preparation of annual budgets, forecasts, and year-end accounts.
  • Liaise with property managers, clients, auditors, and other stakeholders regarding financial queries.
  • Monitor arrears, cash positions, and client account balances, providing regular reporting and analysis.
  • Ensure compliance with relevant accounting standards, RICS regulations, and company procedures.

Key Requirements

  • Previous experience in a Client Accountant position within property management, real estate, or a similar sector.
  • Strong understanding of client accounting principles and property accounting processes.
  • Experience preparing financial reports, reconciliations, and year-end information.
  • Knowledge of property management systems such as Qube, TRAMPS, Yardi, MRI, Horizon, or similar.
  • Excellent Excel skills and strong attention to detail.
  • Strong communication and relationship management skills.
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities and work effectively within a team environment.
  • AAT qualified, ACCA/CIMA part-qualified, or qualified by experience candidates will be considered.
