Job Title: Client Accountant

Salary: £25,000 - £30,000 p.a

Location: Hybrid/Remote

Key Responsibilities:

  • Preparation of accounts, corporation tax returns, management accounts, and accountant’s references to review stage.
  • Reviewing Director self-assessment tax returns and client-prepared VAT returns, ensuring accuracy and compliance.
  • Managing complex client queries, identifying new service opportunities, and flagging scope creep to the Client Manager.
  • Providing feedback on bookkeeping errors, reviewing VAT returns prepared by Accounting Technicians, and ensuring timely submission.
  • Completing delegated Xero/Dext training, and enhancing client value through regular reviews, training, and proactive insights.

Required Skills/Qualifications:

  • A willingness to learn and be receptive to honest feedback.
  • Currently pursuing an accounting qualification.
  • Proficient in the cloud accounting app stack.
  • Proficient in using DEXT, XERO in a practice environment.
