Vertex Associates are proud to be partnering with a residential property management company in hiring a Client Accountant on a 12-month FTC. This is a hybrid position consisting of 3 days a week onsite.
Duties and Responsibilities:
- Prepare and finalise service charge accounts and related financial reports for a portfolio of residential properties
- Manage the end-to-end accounting process, ensuring work is completed accurately and within agreed deadlines
- Liaise with internal teams, clients, auditors, and external stakeholders to coordinate account production and resolve queries
- Produce statutory accounts and support associated compliance and regulatory filing requirements
- Assist with budgeting, VAT reporting, financial integrations, and ad hoc accounting projects
- Maintain strong financial controls, ensuring all work complies with current regulations, policies, and best practice
- Identify opportunities to improve processes and contribute to the delivery of a high-quality client service

Requirements:
- Minimum 2 years' experience within an accounting, finance, bookkeeping, or client accounting environment
- Strong understanding of accounting principles and double-entry bookkeeping
- Excellent attention to detail with the ability to manage multiple priorities and deadlines
- Confident communicator, able to build relationships with both internal and external stakeholders
- Highly organised, self-motivated, and capable of working independently using their own initiative
- Strong Excel skills and confidence using accounting and financial systems
- Studying towards, part-qualified, or qualified in AAT, ACCA, ACA, CIMA, or an equivalent accounting qualification
