We are looking for a Fixed Term 12 month Business Services Assistant to support client financial accounts in our Grantham office.

What does this role involve?

Working as part of a team, you will provide client work to your direct line manager within specified deadlines and in a format that is compliant with Duncan & Toplis practice standards. This will include client accounts preparation and tax returns.

Teamwork

You will be working as part of a team to provide clear communication, supporting colleagues, sharing accurate information, and working together to manage accounts efficiently and meet deadlines.

Client experience

You will assist client managers to support with advising clients with their accounts.

To be successful you will:

  • Ensuring an acute awareness of your workload, including upcoming deadlines, and completing all required work within the parameters specified by your line manager
  • Knowing your abilities and when to ask for help from peers or your direct line manager.
  • Managing your workflow and client expectations, using your specialist knowledge and skills to add value to the bookkeeping hub.
  • Reducing the number of repeat review points on any given project to improve efficiencies.
  • Developing working relationships with clients to assist in obtaining relevant information, maximise yield and performance.

What we are looking for:-

  • Formal training, including on the job training will be provided
  • May be part qualified in AAT - either by qualifications or experience
  • The ability to work effectively as part of a wider team
  • The production of accurate and effective work within your service line
  • Strong communication skills, both verbal and written
  • Development of professional and technical knowledge
  • Development of a broad range of IT skills to underpin performance
