What the job involves
This is an acquisition role. Your job is volume: get as many paid fractional, board advisor, NED/interim director and chairperson roles onto our jobs board as possible, from as many sources as possible. You'll work alongside a counterpart focused on keeping those roles current and getting them filled — your job is the top of the funnel, theirs is everything after a role lands on the platform

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?
Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.
Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.

Only hits
No noise. No "maybe this fits." Just roles with a clear explanation of why they're right — and where to focus when applying.
- Source roles directly from startups and scaleups already in our CRM that have used Connectd before — this is your warmest, highest-conversion channel and where you should build early momentum
- Monitor and mine external job boards for fractional, board advisor, NED and chair vacancies that could be brought onto Connectd instead
- Build relationships with recruiters, VCs and other intermediaries who regularly place this kind of talent — partners are one of the fastest ways to scale volume once relationships are established, and a channel we expect to matter increasingly as you grow into the role
- Work with onboarding data to identify which new startups joining Connectd have the prerequisites (stage, funding, team gaps) that typically signal a fractional hiring need, and approach them proactively
- Hand off every live role cleanly to your counterpart managing role freshness and fill, with enough detail that it can be marketed and matched properly from day one
