We're expanding the team in Manchester and looking for a Client Advisor to join us in Spinningfields. You'll have the opportunity to work with a diverse portfolio of clients, develop meaningful relationships, and be part of a supportive team that puts clients at the centre of everything we do.
Key Accountabilities
- Support the Managing Director in the day-to-day management, servicing and development of an established client book, helping to deliver a consistently high-quality and personalised client experience.
- Develop a strong understanding of each client family’s circumstances, financial position, objectives, investment needs and risk profile, so that advice and service are appropriately tailored.
- Act as a trusted day-to-day point of contact for clients, responding to servicing needs promptly and escalating advice, risk or complex matters to the Managing Director or relevant specialist.
- Attend client meetings, prepare meeting and review materials, accurately record agreed actions and coordinate timely follow-up.
- Support the preparation and delivery of suitable advice, including the gathering and analysis of client information, investment proposals, suitability documentation and client communications, under appropriate supervision and within the role holder’s competence and authorisation.
- Work collaboratively with Investment, Financial Planning, Lending and other specialist teams to help deliver holistic wealth management solutions that meet clients’ objectives.
- Maintain regular and proactive contact with clients to support strong, sustainable relationships and identify opportunities to deepen relationships or address changing needs.
- Support client onboarding, KYC, periodic reviews, suitability and Financial Crime Compliance requirements, ensuring records and documentation are accurate, complete and up to date.
- Support appropriate business development activity, including prospect preparation, client events, referrals and follow-up, while the Managing Director retains primary responsibility for client ownership and origination.
- Collaborate across teams to deliver BSCO’s overall value proposition and positive client outcomes.

Knowledge and Experience
- Experience within financial services, banking, wealth management or a client-facing professional environment is desirable.
- Experience supporting relationship managers, advisers or client-facing teams would be beneficial.
- Demonstrates a genuine interest in investments, financial planning, lending and wealth management.
- Ability to build professional relationships and provide a high standard of client service.
- Developing understanding of FCA requirements, regulated advice processes and risk management.
- Strong organisational skills, attention to detail and willingness to undertake continued professional development.

Technical Skills
- Qualified Adviser – Certified as an “Adviser” – subject to the relevant Training & Competency Scheme.
- Any regulated advice or activity must be undertaken only within the scope of the role holder’s authorisation, assessed competence and appropriate supervision under the relevant Training & Competence Scheme.
- Developing knowledge of investment products, financial planning, lending and wealth management solutions.
- Good working knowledge of Microsoft Office and client relationship management systems.
- Level 4 as a minimum, Level 6/7 desirable.
Language Skills
- Fluent in English language
