Key Accountabilities

  • The role holder will work as part of the Private Banking client facing team within a support role function, providing a range of assistance in support of Client Advisors.
  • To proactively assist Client Advisors with the management of Clients wealth in line with their aspirations and risk appetite. Provide support for client meetings, for example, preparation of meeting packs, attending meetings where required and taking ownership of post meeting actions e.g. payments.
  • Contact clients as requested by the Client Advisors, by telephone, letter or in person in order to ensure client’s needs are met, including arrangement of meetings, annual reviews and similar activities.
  • To provide, as necessary, support in responding to client queries.
  • To maintain client files and records through standing data amendments including new client set-up and deletion.
  • Answering client calls and queries professionally.
  • As required, to liaise with the operations and administration units on behalf of the team.
  • To prepare, check and dispatch client valuation records, either screen based or in hard copy, as required to maintain accuracy and in accordance with regulatory requirements.
  • If requested, to assist in all projects expected on the team. To assist in ensuring the team meets all its obligations in respect of the Client Profile Update process.
  • To print valuations and statements, request payments and record cash receipts/transfers.
  • To update weightings and meetings file for last review date and last meeting date.
  • Provide support to other teams as required.
  • To reflect and adhere to culture of compliance in all relevant tasks and throughout the company.

  • A good knowledge and strong experience of the UK wealth management industry.
  • Experience of supporting a number of advisors, rather than on a 121 basis.
  • Understands Risk within context of the role and meets the regulatory obligations, as applicable.
  • Competent at maintaining client data and communicating with clients.

Attributes and Qualities

  • Good communication and written English skills.
  • Very good telephone manner, comfortable handling client queries.
  • Excellent team working skills. Supports and encourages others to generate a positive working culture, sharing information cross-functions.
  • High accuracy and attention to detail.
  • Well organised and efficient.
  • Takes a solution oriented approach and challenges the way we do things: “see it, say it, fix it”.

Technical Skills

  • Computer literate with good knowledge of Microsoft systems (Word, Excel, Outlook, Powerpoint).
  • Capable of using either or both of G2 and Intelligent Office.

Act as true first line of defence for clients and Quintet through proactive risk management.

Encouraged to work towards a CISI or CFA level 4 qualification

Languages Skills

  • Fluent in English, additional European language advantageous
