Client Assistant – Digital Media Operations

About the role

Are you organised, digitally minded and interested in working with some of the UK’s best-loved brands? We have an exciting opportunity for a Client Assistant to join the Asda Media team at Asda House. You will support the end-to-end delivery of digital retail media campaigns across Asda’s onsite and offsite channels. This will include helping to set up, monitor and optimise campaigns across sponsored products, onsite display and offsite media channels.

Working closely with our Client, Commercial and Media teams, as well as agency and technology partners, you will help ensure campaigns launch accurately, deliver against their objectives and provide a great experience for our suppliers and customers.

You will monitor campaign performance, identify delivery risks and support the team in making timely optimisations to maximise results and media revenue. You will also help maintain accurate campaign records, produce performance reporting and continually improve the processes used to plan and deliver our digital media activity.

This is a fast-paced and evolving area of the business, offering an excellent opportunity to build practical experience across retail media, ecommerce and performance marketing.

Key responsibilities

  • Support the planning, set-up and delivery of digital media campaigns across onsite and offsite channels.
  • Coordinate campaign information, creative assets and approvals to ensure activity launches accurately and on time.
  • Monitor live campaigns against agreed budgets, timelines and performance objectives.
  • Identify delivery issues, media inefficiencies and revenue risks, escalating them quickly and supporting appropriate solutions.
  • Make or coordinate campaign optimisations to improve delivery and performance.
  • Produce accurate and timely campaign reports, highlighting results, challenges and recommended actions.
  • Maintain campaign trackers, booking information and platform records to create a clear and reliable view of activity.
  • Work collaboratively with internal teams, agencies, suppliers and media technology partners.
  • Support the development of consistent campaign-management processes and ways of working.
  • Keep up to date with developments across onsite retail media, programmatic display, paid social and other offsite channels.

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?

Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.

Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Start with a chat, not a search bar

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.
