Purpose of Role
Sitting within the North America Business Unit, the Client Associate is a broad and flexible role and a key partner to client-facing teams. The role supports the development and maintenance of strong client relationships and new business activity by placing current and future client needs at the centre of how work is prioritised and delivered.
The role combines high-quality servicing, communications and operational support, flexing in line with client and business needs. Initially, the primary focus will be on the production and delivery of clear, engaging and high-quality client and marketing presentations, working closely with Investment Specialists and other content owners.
Responsibilities
- Produce and deliver presentations to a consistently high standard, demonstrating a strong understanding of team requirements, working closely with Investment Specialists and other content owners to ensure materials are accurate and relevant.
- Maintain awareness of relevant regulatory and compliance requirements, including tech checking financial promotions where applicable.
- Develop a strong understanding of the business unit's clients, priorities and ways of working, using judgement to anticipate needs and focus effort where it adds most value.
- Develop role-appropriate AI literacy and use approved AI-enabled tools, simplification and experimentation to redesign relevant workflows, reduce manual activity and create capacity for higher-value client work.
- Communicate clearly about priorities, deadlines, risks and dependencies, bringing the right people together to achieve strong client outcomes.
- Support onboarding, knowledge sharing and team resilience; take ownership of personal development and adapt openly to change.
- Build broad commercial, operational and client knowledge as business needs change.

- High-quality delivery: Client and marketing presentations are accurate, engaging and delivered to a consistently high standard, with clear consideration of client and business needs.
- Trusted support: Strong relationships with client-facing colleagues and content owners enable responsive, reliable and effective support.
- Strong business understanding: Knowledge of North America clients, priorities and ways of working enables sound judgement about where support can add most value.
- Flexible contribution: Adapt effectively in response to changing client and business needs across servicing, communications and operational activity.
- Improved ways of working: Digital tools, including approved AI-enabled tools, simplification and process improvement are used thoughtfully to reduce manual activity and create capacity for higher-value client work
Your knowledge and experience
- Experience coordinating and delivering detailed work within a professional environment, bringing together inputs from different stakeholders and maintaining high standards of accuracy and quality.
- Experience managing multiple pieces of work and competing priorities, with the ability to organise your workload and deliver to deadlines.
- Strong attention to detail, with experience checking work for accuracy and quality.
- Experience building effective working relationships with colleagues and stakeholders across different teams.
- Good knowledge of Office 365 tools, with confidence learning and using new digital tools and technology.
- Experience contributing to process improvements and identifying more efficient ways of working.
- Experience producing presentations, client materials or other high-quality business documents would be beneficial, but isn't essential.

The ideal candidate should also demonstrate the ability to efficiently prioritise their workload, managing multiple projects and tasks, often within tight deadlines. Additionally, a keen eye for accuracy and meticulous attention to detail is essential, ensuring the highest standards of work are maintained. Candidates should demonstrate high levels of execution and have experience in delivering process improvements and efficiencies within teams and across the firm.
