Client Benefits Manager

Location: Dedham

Type: Full-Time

Description

CLIENT BENEFITS MANAGER

TILL provides essential support to adults with developmental disabilities, learning differences, acquired brain injury, and other specialized needs through a wide range of housing options, from structured, staffed, small group living to individualized support options. The Client Benefits Manager oversees and coordinates benefits and financial matters for individuals supported by TILL. The position ensures benefits are maintained accurately, required reviews and renewals are completed on time, and benefit-related issues are followed through to resolution.

Schedule

This is a full-time position from Monday - Friday 9:00 am - 5:00 pm.

Responsibilities

  • Manage client benefits, including Social Security/SSI, Representative Payee services, MassHealth, housing vouchers, trusts, and other applicable benefits.
  • Complete and track required applications, renewals, SSA reviews, redeterminations, and other benefit-related deadlines.
  • Monitor client benefits and promptly resolve interruptions, reductions, overpayments, eligibility concerns, and other discrepancies.
  • Maintain accurate client financial and benefit information in TILL’s systems and records.
  • Communicate and coordinate with families, guardians, TILL programs, government agencies, housing authorities, and other outside organizations regarding client benefits.
  • Oversee Representative Payee responsibilities and ensure client funds and records are managed appropriately.
  • Prepare regular reports and respond to audits, surveys, and requests for information related to client benefits.
  • Maintain organized documentation and ensure confidential client information is handled appropriately.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent relevant experience.
  • Proficiency in reading, understanding, and communicating effectively in English.
  • Experience with client benefits, or human services preferred.
  • Knowledge of Social Security, MassHealth, housing benefits, and Representative Payee requirements preferred.
  • Strong organizational, follow-up, problem-solving, and communication skills.
  • Strong attention to detail and ability to manage multiple deadlines.
  • Ability to work independently and handle confidential information.
