Client Business Leader (CBL) – Hull

Founded in 1919, Olberding Brand Family (OBF) is a family-owned company focused on helping brands Design, Optimize and Protect their most valuable assets. We partner with leading consumer brands to deliver integrated solutions spanning brand strategy, design, adaptive execution, digital capabilities, color management, prepress, and print production.

The Client Business Leader (CBL) is a senior client leader responsible for building strong, strategic partnerships with some of OBF's most important clients.

This role serves as the primary relationship leader for the L’Oréal business and a key day-to-day liaison across the client, OBF, and design agency. The CBL brings together client needs, business strategy, commercial objectives, and OBF capabilities to create long-term value, while helping teams across the UK, France, and broader L’Oréal business work as one connected partnership.

The ideal candidate is a proactive, commercially minded leader who can see the big picture, navigate complexity, influence across teams, and turn client needs into meaningful business opportunities.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Own and strengthen strategic client relationships, serving as a trusted advisor and key liaison across L’Oréal, OBF, and the design agency.
  • Develop a deep understanding of the client’s business, priorities, challenges, creative workflows, and future needs.
  • Establish and advance client strategies that support relationship health, retention, growth, and long-term partnership.
  • Identify opportunities to expand OBF’s value and bring forward capabilities, ideas, and solutions that address evolving client needs.
  • Lead and develop client-facing teams, creating clear expectations and a consistently high standard of client engagement.
  • Connect client, creative, production, account, and agency teams to clarify ownership, improve handoffs, and keep work moving.
  • Maintain accountability for the overall client experience, proactively addressing risks, dependencies, and opportunities.
  • Provide commercial and financial leadership for assigned client business, with accountability for revenue growth and profitability.
  • Build relationships across multiple levels of the client and agency organizations, including regular travel to Paris and other locations as needed.
  • Represent both the client’s needs and OBF’s business interests to create sustainable, mutually beneficial partnerships.
  • Champion practical process alignment, continuous improvement, and consistent ways of working across markets without creating unnecessary bureaucracy.

Reasons to use Rodeo

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?

Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.

Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Start with a chat, not a search bar

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.
