At Pennard Vets, the first person a client meets can shape their entire experience — and that’s why our Client Care team is so important.
Whether someone is bringing in a new puppy for their first check-up or arriving worried about a much-loved pet, the welcome they receive can make all the difference. Inspired by the best of hospitality, we focus on warmth, compassion and the small details that help both pets and their owners feel genuinely cared for.
We’re looking for a Client Care Advisor to join our team on a fixed term contract to cover maternity leave, someone who enjoys helping people, loves animals, and naturally makes others feel at ease.

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?
Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.
Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.

Only hits
No noise. No "maybe this fits." Just roles with a clear explanation of why they're right — and where to focus when applying.
As part of our client care team, you’ll often be the first voice a client hears or the first face they see when they arrive. You’ll help manage appointments, answer questions by phone and email, keep records accurate, and work closely with our vets and nurses to keep the day running smoothly. Just as importantly, you’ll provide reassurance to clients and help create a calm, welcoming environment for everyone who visits the practice.
We’re looking for someone organised, friendly and attentive to detail — someone who can stay calm in a busy environment and takes pride in delivering excellent service. Experience in customer service or hospitality is helpful, but your attitude, empathy and willingness to help matter most.
You’ll be joining a supportive and approachable team that values kindness, teamwork and continuous learning.
What you’ll find at Pennards
