Vets for Pets Worcester
Vets for Pets Worcester is one of the most forward-thinking veterinary practices in the region — named Practice of the Year within the Vets for Pets group (2017) and awarded Best Vets in Worcestershire (2024, 2025). Under the leadership of Head Vet Jonathan Nicol, we've grown enormously over 15 years into a team of 30 people who genuinely care about what they do and the clients they serve.
Our ethos is to help every client get the very best care for their pet, within the reality of their individual circumstances and budget. That starts the moment someone walks through our door or picks up the phone — which is exactly where you come in.
Life at Worcester
We're a team of 30, and we genuinely like each other. We socialise, we celebrate, and we have a growing list of clubs — book club, movie club, craft club, and more. If you like the idea of being part of a team in the fullest sense of the word, you'll feel at home here very quickly.
We work 8-hour shifts with a paid lunch break and paid overtime — something that's genuinely rare, and something we're proud of. All roles involve 1 in 3 weekends (we're open 7 days a week), and we think that's a fair and sustainable way to work.
The Role
Reasons to use Rodeo
I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?
Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.
Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.
Start with a chat, not a search bar
Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.

Only hits
No noise. No "maybe this fits." Just roles with a clear explanation of why they're right — and where to focus when applying.
As a client care advisor, you'll be the warm, welcoming face — and voice — of Vets for Pets Worcester. You'll be the first person our clients meet when they arrive, and often the person they turn to when they're worried about their pet. It's a role that combines organisation, empathy, and great communication in equal measure — and it's a role that genuinely matters.
We're proud members of the British Veterinary Receptionist Association, and we mean it when we say that client care is a career in its own right here — not a stepping stone to something else. We invest in our CCA team just as we invest in our clinical team, because we know that the experience clients have from the very first hello is every bit as important as the care their pets receive. Full training will be provided.
What we’re looking for
You don't need a veterinary background — we'll teach you everything you need to know about the practice side of things. What we can't teach is genuine warmth, a love of people, and the calm, organised approach that keeps a busy practice running smoothly. You'll be someone who finds real satisfaction in delivering excellent service, who communicates brilliantly with all kinds of people, and who takes pride in being the person that clients trust and rely on.
