Contract Analyst II - Office with Flex in Sofia, Bulgaria or UK

We have an incredible opportunity for a Contract Analyst II to join ICON’s Client Contract Services team. The Contract Analyst II will coordinate, develop, and execute client/sponsor contracts and change orders for newly awarded and on-going projects, with a primary focus on change orders associated with early phase studies.
Location: Office Hybrid within Sofia, Bulgaria/UK.
What you will be doing:
- Work simultaneously on numerous Early Phase contracts and/or change orders
- Interact with ICON Legal, the Sales Team, and their respective Contracts Manager, to determine the appropriate terms and conditions to be included in the contracts and change orders
- Develop an understanding of applicable ICON costing tools, client budget grids, and any tools and templates
- Understand the operational department's tasks and roles within the task as well as cost drivers within ICON
- Solicit input and review of contracts and change orders from the relevant operational departments
- Develop cash neutral payment schedules as required
- Work with respective Contract Manager to recognize when client questions/comments require input and review by Legal and/or operations/senior management or with the client
- Work with respective Contract Manager to provide project/financial analysis on the project budget to justify supporting information from the project team on prior to client submission
- Update Salesforce in a timely and consistent manner with concise, accurate information on status of the contract or change order
- Develop and maintain client/project files and tracking tools
- Review client/project documents and budgets prior to submission to their respective Contract Manager for final QC review
- Build relationships with ICON project teams, sales, proposals, finance, project analysis and with clients
- Lead and/or assist with internal meetings related to contracts and change orders

Your profile:
- Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Finance, Accounting, Legal Studies, or a related field
- 2+ years of experience in sponsor contract management and financial analysis, in the pharmaceutical, biotechnology, or CRO industry
- Experience working on Early Phase study budgets (preferred)
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with the ability to assess financial and contractual implications
- Understanding of contract fundamentals, legal terminology, and commercial agreement structures
- Excellent attention to detail and organizational skills, with the ability to manage competing priorities in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment
- Exceptional written and verbal communication skills
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office, particularly with Word & Excel
- Familiarity with project budgeting, pricing models, and change order management (preferred)
- Experience negotiating commercial or contractual terms with clients (preferred)
