We are looking for a proactive and commercially minded Client Development Executive to join a top International Law Firm in the Client Development, Marketing & Knowledge team, supporting the market-leading Private Client Division.

This is an exciting opportunity to work alongside highly regarded partners and lawyers, helping to strengthen client relationships, raise the profile of one of the UK's leading Private Client practices, and contribute to the firm's continued growth.

Based in the London office, you'll collaborate with colleagues across the UK and internationally, with occasional travel to the regional offices.

The Client Development, Marketing & Knowledge function comprises around 80 professionals across London, Guildford, Cheltenham, Dubai, Hong Kong, Singapore, Paris and Milan. Together, they drive the firm's business development strategy, enhance our brand, support client relationship programmes and deliver high-impact marketing initiatives.

What You'll Be Doing

As a Client Development Executive, you'll play a varied role across business development, marketing and client engagement activities, including:

Business Development & Marketing

  • Produce and maintain high-quality credentials, capability statements, presentations and marketing collateral.
  • Support partners and senior Client Development colleagues with pitches, proposals, biographies, case studies and client communications.
  • Maintain a library of experience statements, testimonials and marketing content to support future opportunities.
  • Undertake client, sector and market research to support business development initiatives.
  • Work closely with the Design team to create engaging and professional marketing materials.

Digital Marketing

  • Create and distribute client newsletters and e-marketing campaigns using Vuture.
  • Support the delivery of Private Client marketing campaigns alongside the central Marketing team.
  • Draft engaging marketing content for client communications and digital channels.

Legal Directories & Awards

  • Coordinate submissions for leading legal directories and awards, including Chambers and Legal 500.
  • Draft submissions with input from partners and lawyers.
  • Manage deadlines, referee requests and research interviews.
  • Maintain partner profiles and communicate results across the firm.

Events & Client Engagement

  • Assist in the planning and delivery of seminars, webinars, receptions, networking events and client hospitality.
  • Coordinate suppliers, venues and event logistics.
  • Support the firm's presence at external events, including key industry and regional events such as the Cheltenham Races.

Relationship Management

  • Help develop and maintain relationships with intermediaries and professional referrers.
  • Organise meetings, networking opportunities and joint events with key contacts.

CRM & Client Intelligence

  • Maintain marketing lists and client information using InterAction CRM.
  • Support data quality initiatives and encourage effective CRM usage across the practice.
  • Produce reports on marketing and business development activity.
  • Conduct client and market research to identify opportunities and provide commercial insight.

About You

The role will suit someone who enjoys building relationships, has excellent organisational skills and thrives in a collaborative, fast-paced professional services environment.

You'll ideally have:

  • At least two years' experience within legal marketing, business development or a professional services environment.
  • Experience working with senior stakeholders and building trusted relationships.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Strong drafting skills, with the ability to produce compelling marketing and business development materials.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel and PowerPoint.
  • Experience using CRM and email marketing platforms such as InterAction and Vuture would be advantageous.
