Client Development Manager
We are recruiting for a Client Development Manager to join our Private Shopping team at Harrods on a 12-month Fixed Term Contract. This role will play a key part in shaping client engagement strategies, identifying commercial opportunities, and enhancing the experience of our most valued clients. Working across the business, you will help strengthen client engagement and contribute to the continued success of our world-class Private Shopping proposition.
About The Role
As a Client Development Manager, you will support the development and delivery of initiatives that enhance the Private Shopping experience and contribute to the growth of our client portfolio. Combining client insight, commercial awareness, and market knowledge, you will identify opportunities to strengthen engagement, acquire new clients, improve performance, and ensure our offering continues to meet the expectations of a global luxury clientele.
Working closely with the wider Private Shopping team, you will use client, sales, and market insights to shape new ideas, support strategic decision-making, and drive continuous improvement across the client journey. Drawing on your understanding of clients' lifestyles and needs, you will help guide new and existing clients towards the most relevant Personal Shopping services, strengthening engagement and long-term loyalty. As an ambassador for the service, you will champion exceptional client experiences, support portfolio growth, and identify opportunities that reinforce Harrods' position as a leader in luxury retail and lifestyle services.

About You
You will bring experience from a luxury retail, hospitality, lifestyle, or similarly client-focused environment, alongside a strong understanding of the expectations of a global luxury clientele. Commercially minded and forward-thinking in your approach, you are always looking for opportunities to deepen client relationships, understand clients' lifestyles and preferences, grow engagement, and elevate the client experience.
Highly analytical, you are confident using client, sales, and market insights to inform decisions and shape meaningful strategies. You are a natural relationship builder with excellent communication skills and a strong understanding of luxury retail and lifestyle trends, enabling you to deliver experiences that differentiate Harrods and drive long-term client loyalty.
We are looking for candidates who demonstrate:
- Experience in client development, relationship management, or luxury retail.
- Strong commercial awareness and an insight-led approach to identifying growth opportunities.
- Excellent relationship-building and stakeholder management skills.
- A proactive and forward-thinking approach, with a focus on innovation and continuous improvement.
- A strong understanding of luxury clients, lifestyle services, and global market trends.
