Client Development Manager

A leading international law firm is seeking a Client Development Manager to join its Business Development and Marketing team. This is an exciting opportunity for an experienced legal BD professional to work closely with partners and senior stakeholders, driving practice group growth while playing a key role in the development and delivery of the firm's key account management programme.

Responsibilities:

  • Build strong relationships with practice group leaders and key stakeholders, providing strategic business development and client development support.
  • Lead pitches, proposals and RFP responses, developing tailored strategies and compelling client-facing materials to support new business opportunities.
  • Manage awards, legal directory submissions, sponsorships and practice-focused marketing initiatives, ensuring activity supports strategic priorities and delivers measurable ROI.
  • Develop and deliver data-driven marketing and BD campaigns, events and client initiatives designed to strengthen relationships, raise profile and generate business opportunities.
  • Support the development and management of the firm's key account programme, creating frameworks, account plans, reporting tools and governance materials.
  • Analyse client, financial and market data to identify trends, opportunities and areas for growth, providing actionable insights to partners and client teams.
  • Drive adoption of CRM, AI and wider BD tools, identify opportunities for process improvement and mentor junior colleagues across the wider team.

  • 6+ years' client development, business development or marketing experience, ideally within a law firm or professional services environment; previous experience supporting a Litigation practice would be highly advantageous.
  • Strong experience across strategic pitches, proposals, key account management, campaigns and client development, with the commercial and analytical ability to use data and ROI insights to inform strategy.
  • Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills, with the confidence to work closely with senior partners, manage multiple priorities and collaborate across international teams; proficiency with CRM, Microsoft Office and AI tools is also required.
