The Role

As a Client Development Manager / Senior Client Development Manager, you will support a portfolio of strategic global clients, working closely with Client Relationship Partners, account teams and Business Development colleagues across multiple jurisdictions. You will play a key role in developing and delivering client account plans, driving client engagement initiatives, identifying growth opportunities and strengthening relationships across regions, sectors and practice areas. This is a highly collaborative role offering exposure to senior stakeholders, global clients and complex international client programmes.

Essential Skills & Experience

Client Development & Account Management

  • Significant experience in Client Development, Business Development or Sales within a professional services environment.
  • Proven track record of developing and growing strategic client relationships and generating new business opportunities.
  • Experience managing key client accounts, account plans and opportunity pipelines.
  • Ability to identify cross-selling opportunities and drive revenue growth across multiple service lines and regions.

Stakeholder Management & Communication

  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills with exceptional attention to detail.
  • Ability to build credibility and influence senior stakeholders, partners and client relationship teams.
  • Strong interpersonal skills with a confident, positive and diplomatic approach.
  • Experience collaborating with stakeholders across different countries, functions and seniority levels.

Strategic Planning & Commercial Awareness

  • Ability to research clients, markets and industries, translating insights into actionable client development strategies.
  • Experience developing client account plans, relationship maps and engagement programmes.
  • Strong commercial awareness and understanding of client relationship management principles.
  • Experience contributing to pitches, proposals, client presentations and panel appointments.

Organisation & Technical Capability

  • Strong organisational skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities and deadlines.
  • Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment and assimilate information quickly.
  • Strong IT skills, including experience with CRM systems, Microsoft Outlook, Word, Excel and PowerPoint.
  • Degree educated (2:1 or above) or equivalent experience.
  • Professional marketing or sales qualification (e.g. CIM/CAM) would be advantageous.
