Senior Public Sector Sales – Scotland

Up to £100,000 basic + Double OTE

Scotland / North UK | Hybrid & Remote Working

James Adams is partnering with a leading UK technology solutions and managed services business to recruit an experienced sales professional to help drive its continued growth across Scotland.

This is a senior commercial opportunity for someone with a strong track record of selling technology solutions and managed services into the Public Sector, with particular interest in candidates who have experience across Healthcare and the NHS. We're open on exact job title. You could currently be working as an Account Director, Client Director, Business Development Manager, Senior Account Manager or Enterprise Account Executive. What's more important is your experience, relationships and ability to develop business across the Scottish Public Sector.

The Opportunity

You'll take responsibility for developing business across Scotland, working with Public Sector organisations to understand their technology strategy and identify opportunities across a broad portfolio of solutions and services. This could include:

  • Cloud & Microsoft
  • Cyber Security
  • Data & AI
  • Networking & Infrastructure
  • Modern Workplace
  • Managed Services
  • Professional Services

You'll have the backing of an established UK technology business, strong technical and delivery capabilities, strategic vendor relationships and a broad portfolio that allows you to have genuinely consultative conversations with customers.

We're looking for someone who:

  • Has a successful background in technology sales within a VAR, MSP, IT solutions provider or systems integrator
  • Has sold into the UK Public Sector
  • Ideally has experience selling into Healthcare, the NHS or NHS Scotland
  • Can demonstrate success developing strategic accounts and/or winning new business
  • Is comfortable engaging senior customer stakeholders and managing complex sales cycles
  • Understands how to bring together technical specialists, vendors and internal teams to develop opportunities
  • Is based in Scotland or the North of the UK and can effectively cover Scotland as a territory

Existing relationships across NHS Scotland, Health Boards or the wider Scottish Public Sector would be particularly valuable.
