Solance
Solance is a tech-enabled Electronic Money Institution built for businesses with complex corporate structures or operating in sectors that traditional banks generally don't service: family offices, internationally operating companies, alternative investment fund structures and corporate service providers/fiduciaries and the clients they service. We are in the final stages of obtaining authorisation in Ireland, one of the most reputable banking jurisdictions in Europe, and we are only getting started.
Solance Fund Services is one of our niches, built specifically for asset managers and their fund structures. We will be offering our payment solutions through a newly developed portal and app, and differentiate ourselves by super-fast onboarding and high-touch personal service.
Your role, in plain terms
This is a hard core sales/BD seat, and we mean that as a compliment.
As Client Director for Solance you open doors, build trust, and turn relationships into a real pipeline.
You will work the market you already know: the asset managers, the fund administrators, the CSPs, the lawyers and all the other advisers who orbit fund services.
You bring them to Solance, and you own the relationship from there.
Think of it as your own shop within Solance.
You own the niche, you shape the brand of the Fund Services business, and you run it with the freedom of a founder and with a tech-enabled licensed EMI behind you.
Nobody hands you a script or confines you to a certain territory. You determine where the business is and you go and build it.

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?
Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.
Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.
Start with a chat, not a search bar
Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.

Who We Are Looking For
You are about eight to ten years into your career, you have spent most of it in the world that revolves around fund services: fund administrator, CSP, law firm, tax advisory, or any position where your days were spent across the table from fund clients. Ideally you have worked at more than one firm, so you understand how the fund industry really works, and you have a network that runs across that industry.
People with a background in fund services know two things you cannot teach overnight: a network, and the lingo.
You already know a lot of fund administrators, fund layers, CSPs, the introducers and the advisers.
You understand what it takes to work with asset managers and their advisors, how and why fund structures are actually created and how to talk to clients who expect to be taken seriously.
You are not a product seller
You are credible, discreet, add value to your clients and easy to trust in a room full of advisers and/or principals.
You know where the business is, and you go and get it
We need a builder, not a maintainer. Someone who runs, who is genuinely hungry, who gets a kick out of chasing a deal and closing it.
Requirements
- Eight to ten years' experience in a fund services environment (fund administrator, law firm, CSP), ideally across more than one firm
- A genuine specialisation in, or strong exposure to, fund services
- An active network of fund administrators, law firms, tax advisors, CSPs, introducers and advisers
- Skilled in fund structuring
- A builder's mentality: hungry, self-starting, eager to run your own shop
- International, and preferably multilingual. (English is a must)

What Is In It For You
You will work very close with the CEO of Solance, not three layers down. You get real ownership of your client book, room to grow a team as your sales justify it, and the freedom to build the Fund Services business, and its brand, from the ground up as if it were your own company. This comes with a competitive package, bonuses tied to what you actually bring in, and the chance to become a recognised name in a market you already care about. It is a builder's seat above all.
Where you come from
You already have a good network in the fund industry in the UK, Luxembourg, the Netherlands and Ireland. Ideally you are based in one of these countries. However, as you will be on the road constantly, in front of clients and partners wherever the business is, so your base can be flexible. What matters is your reach, your network and your appetite for travel. That said, we do want you in our Dublin office on a regular basis, to stay close to the team and to feed what you are hearing from clients back into the business. You will be our ears in the market, and the product gets better because of what you bring home.
