Hearst UK operates an in office policy with flexible Friday's. Our office is based at House of Hearst, 30 Panton Street, St James's, London, SW1Y 4AJ, where teams collaborate in person and connect across brands and functions

Salary - £50,000 - £55,000 + Commission - Salary is dependent on experience and will be assessed in line with the candidate’s skills, knowledge, and relevant expertise.

The Role

As the Luxury Client Director, you will lead strategic partnerships with a portfolio of prestigious luxury brands across Hearst UK’s iconic titles, including ELLE, Harper’s Bazaar, Esquire and ELLE Decoration. Combining a deep understanding of luxury audiences, client ambitions and the evolving media landscape, you will develop insight-led commercial strategies that strengthen long-term partnerships, drive sustainable revenue growth and unlock new business opportunities.

Working closely with the Lead Client Partner and cross-functional teams spanning editorial, creative, insights, operations, digital and media, you will cultivate senior client relationships and deliver integrated, market-leading solutions across print, digital, social, video and events, positioning Hearst as the partner of choice for the luxury sector.

Main Duties

  • Own strategic account plans for a portfolio of luxury clients, setting clear growth priorities and building long-term partnership roadmaps.
  • Develop insight-led, integrated media plans that respond to clients’ business and brand objectives across print, digital, social, video, events and other relevant channels.
  • Translate audience, market and campaign insight into compelling commercial recommendations, ensuring Hearst’s brands and capabilities are matched to the client opportunity.
  • Identify and convert opportunities to grow existing accounts, including new briefs, cross-platform partnerships, expanded campaigns and new areas of investment.
  • Build strong, direct relationships with senior client and agency stakeholders, acting as a trusted strategic adviser and maintaining a clear understanding of their priorities.
  • Lead the development of high-quality proposals, pitches and presentations, working with internal specialists to create distinctive ideas and clear commercial narratives.
  • Track account performance and market developments, using data and client feedback to improve plans, demonstrate value and inform future growth.

What We Are Looking For

  • Experience in senior client partnership, account management, media, publishing, advertising or brand marketing, ideally within the luxury sector.
  • A proven track record of growing high-value client accounts through strong relationships, commercial judgement and a clear focus on delivering results.
  • Strong strategic media planning skills, with a confident understanding of how print, digital, social, video, events and other channels work together.
  • A genuine understanding of luxury brands, audiences and the wider luxury landscape, with the ability to engage credibly across fashion, beauty, travel, automotive, drinks and lifestyle categories.
  • The ability to use audience insight, market intelligence and campaign performance data to shape recommendations and make persuasive business cases.
  • Excellent presentation, negotiation and communication skills, with the confidence to influence senior stakeholders and lead complex conversations.
  • Highly organised, commercially minded and collaborative, with the resilience and curiosity to manage multiple priorities in a fast-moving environment.
