About the Role

Thomson Reuters is looking for a dynamic and customer-focused Client Executive – Small Law to join our growing Small Law sales team. This role is central to protecting and growing revenue across a large portfolio of small law firm customers, while championing the adoption of Thomson Reuters' newest AI-powered solutions that are transforming how legal professionals work.

You will act as a trusted advisor to your customer base — combining relationship management, risk-based prioritization, and consultative selling to ensure customers realize the full value of their Thomson Reuters solutions, while identifying opportunities to expand that value through upsell and cross-sell.

About the Role

In this role as a Client Executive – Small Law, you will be responsible for:

  • Retention & Risk Management: Own the retention and risk prioritization across a large book of law firm customers, using risk data and account health indicators to guide daily activity and focus effort where it matters most.
  • Upsell & Growth: Helping sales executive to identify upsell opportunities within the existing customer base, aligning Thomson Reuters solutions to each customer's specific aims, goals, and workflows.
  • AI Adoption & Transformation: Drive increased adoption of new and existing AI solutions, positioning Thomson Reuters as a partner in transforming how customers and their clients work.
  • Customer Onboarding: Partner closely with the Sales Executive covering the same territory to ensure a seamless handoff and effective onboarding experience for new customers.
  • Account Hygiene: Maintain accurate, up-to-date account and pipeline data (hygiene) within CRM systems to support accurate reporting and forecasting.
  • Activity & KPI Management: Consistently meet or exceed defined activity KPIs, managing a high-volume book of business with strong organization and prioritization skills.
  • Product Stickiness: Continuously seek out and implement ways to deepen product usage and embed Thomson Reuters solutions into customer workflows, increasing overall stickiness and reducing churn risk.
  • Collaboration: Work cross-functionally with New Business, Customer Success, Product, and Marketing teams to deliver a joined-up customer experience across the territory.
  • Customer Insight: Maintain a curious, consultative approach — staying close to customer needs, market trends, and competitor activity to inform account strategy.

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?

Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.

Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Start with a chat, not a search bar

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.
