About The Role

We're looking for an ambitious and sales-focused Client Executive to join our Protection & Detection (PD) Team. This is an exciting opportunity for someone with a foundation in commercial insurance who is ready to take the next step into a client-facing, revenue-generating role.

As a Client Executive, you'll play a key role in developing and managing client relationships, identifying new business opportunities, and helping clients secure the right insurance solutions for their needs. Working within our specialist Protection & Detection sector, you'll build expertise in a unique and evolving area of the insurance market while developing your own portfolio of clients and contributing to the continued growth of the business.

What you’ll be doing

  • Inheriting an initial book to develop a larger portfolio of commercial insurance clients in the fire sector.
  • Handling inbound enquiries and converting opportunities into new business.
  • Proactively generating and pursuing outbound sales opportunities, with an existing pipeline to build upon.
  • Building strong client relationships and identifying opportunities for cross-selling and upselling.
  • Developing your own book of business and working towards agreed income and growth targets.
  • Providing advice and securing appropriate insurance solutions for clients.
  • Working closely with internal colleagues to deliver excellent customer outcomes.
  • Maintaining accurate records and ensuring all activity is completed in line with FCA requirements.
  • Building specialist knowledge within the Protection & Detection insurance market.
  • Supporting clients with queries and providing expert guidance where needed.
  • Supporting nationwide in-person events to generate new business.

Who we’re looking for

You'll be a confident and motivated communicator who enjoys building relationships and delivering great client service. With some insurance experience already under your belt, you'll be looking to take the next step into a more sales-focused role where you can develop your own portfolio of clients and contribute to business growth.

We're looking for someone who is proactive, commercially minded, and excited about the opportunity to build a long-term career with us.

You’ll Need

  • 1-2 years' experience within the insurance industry.
  • General commercial insurance experience within an Account Handler, Client Advisor, Client Executive, or a similar position is highly advantageous.
  • A genuine interest in developing a new business and sales-focused career.
  • Strong communication and relationship-building skills.
  • Confidence speaking with clients both over the phone and face-to-face.
  • A proactive and self-motivated approach.
  • An understanding of FCA regulations and insurance principles.
  • Good organisational skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities.
  • Knowledge of Acturis would be advantageous but is not essential.
