This is the opportunity to turn your experience, reputation, and drive into a serious book of business, with a platform that has the appetite, resource, and reward structure to make it properly worthwhile.

We're not looking for another conventional Account Executive to inherit somebody else’s accounts and service them; we want commercially ambitious people who can build relationships, create opportunities, and ultimately develop a substantial mid-corporate portfolio of their own - in return for serious remuneration, in a business that rewards success better than most.

What makes this particularly compelling is what sits behind you. Leads, marketing, broking, placement, and project management support are already there, allowing you to spend far more of your time doing the part that creates value: being in front of clients and prospects.

The opportunity

This is part of a brand new regional growth project, with several hires planned across Birmingham, Bristol, Manchester, and on a remote basis, as the business makes a significant push into the mid-corporate market.

They are deliberately looking beyond the usual pool of established corporate Account Executives; the person who builds the best book over the next five years may currently be sitting in broking, placement, servicing, development, or another client-facing role and simply hasn’t been given the platform to do it yet.

Equally, you may already be producing well but know that your current employer puts a ceiling on what you can earn, how quickly you can progress, or how much freedom you have to build your business.

This gives you the chance to create something with genuine scale.

What you will have behind you

  • Access to leads and opportunities generated through an established regional business, so every conversation does not have to start with cold prospecting.
  • Dedicated marketing capability to help build your profile, generate campaigns, and create routes into target businesses.
  • Experienced broking and placement teams to take much of the technical market work away from you once an opportunity starts moving.
  • Project management support around larger new clients and implementation, helping ensure winning an account does not result in months of administration landing back on your desk.
  • Access to substantial specialist insurance capability, giving you far more to take into a client conversation than a standard general commercial proposition.
  • The freedom to develop the sectors, relationships, and routes to market where you believe the strongest opportunities exist.
  • A culture where strong commercial performance can translate into considerably greater earnings, responsibility, and progression.

Reasons to use Rodeo

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?

Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.

Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Start with a chat, not a search bar

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.

Only hits

No noise. No "maybe this fits." Just roles with a clear explanation of why they're right — and where to focus when applying.

What the role looks like

  • Building a portfolio of mid-corporate clients across your region and developing that book over the long term.
  • Creating opportunities through existing relationships, professional connections, referrals, introducers, and the wider lead flow generated by the business.
  • Spending as much time as possible meeting clients and prospects rather than becoming buried in placement and internal administration.
  • Developing relationships with owners, Finance Directors, Risk Managers, and other senior decision-makers.
  • Understanding the wider risks within a client’s business and bringing relevant specialists into the conversation when there is an opportunity to add value.
  • Working closely with broking and placement colleagues to turn strong client relationships into competitive insurance programmes.
  • Developing a book that becomes increasingly valuable to both you and the business as it grows.

Who this could suit

  • You are commercially ambitious and you already understand how relationships turn into insurance revenue.
  • You may be an Account Executive with a smaller book who knows you are capable of building something considerably bigger with the right platform around you.
  • You may be a Corporate Broker, Placement Broker, Client Director, Development Executive, or senior insurance professional who already has excellent relationships across the market and wants to move closer to the client and start benefiting more directly from the business you create.
  • The common denominator is that you enjoy winning. You have the personality and credibility to open doors, you can build relationships that last, and you want your career and earnings to reflect the commercial value you create.
  • This is particularly attractive for somebody who feels they have outgrown an environment where progression depends on waiting for somebody above them to move, or where the reward for outperforming looks remarkably similar to the reward for simply hitting target.

The business

You will be joining one of the most highly regarded insurance broking businesses in the market, with serious capability across corporate and specialist insurance and the financial strength to invest behind good people.

The culture is entrepreneurial and performance-led. Good people are given room to operate, build relationships, and develop their own opportunity rather than being managed through layers of unnecessary hierarchy.

It is also a business where career progression does not have to follow one prescribed route. Building a significant portfolio can create opportunities for greater earnings, broader client responsibility, and leadership as your contribution grows.

That combination of brand, market capability, autonomy, and commercial reward is why people actively aspire to build careers there.

Package and locations

  • Base salary has a deliberately wide range of approximately £50,000 to £100,000, because the business is prepared to recruit on potential as well as an established track record.
  • Your starting package will reflect your experience, existing relationships, and how quickly you can realistically build revenue.
  • Earnings and career progression can develop materially as the value of your portfolio grows.
  • Opportunities are available in Birmingham, Bristol, and Manchester.
  • The role is highly client and market facing, with genuine autonomy over how you manage your diary.
  • Significant broking, marketing, placement, and project management resource sits behind the role, allowing you to concentrate on growth.
  • The wider package reflects the level of a major insurance broking business.

The next step

You will want to understand what the economics can look like when you start building serious revenue, how much genuine lead flow and support is available, what freedom you have around your target market, and how quickly the opportunity can develop for somebody who performs.

We can talk you through all of that confidentially, including the investment behind this new regional project, what they are prepared to build around the right individual, and why this could become a considerably bigger career move than simply changing employer.
