Job Description: Associate Director – MMPE Client Executive (PE)
Job Summary
The Director – Mid-Market PE Client Executive (MMPE) is a senior client leadership and growth role within the Private Equity business. The role is responsible for driving revenue growth and deepening strategic relationships across a defined portfolio of MMPE clients, working in close partnership with Global Client Service Partners (GCSPs), deal teams, and sector leadership.
The Client Executive acts as a trusted advisor to senior client stakeholders, brings deep understanding of private equity value creation and deal cycles, and orchestrates the firm’s capabilities to deliver exceptional client service and commercial outcomes. The role is highly client‑facing, with the majority of time spent externally focused.
Key Responsibilities
Expected percentage of time spent per activity: Strategy 10% / Management 10% / Client‑facing 80%
Revenue Generation & Business Development
- Identify, originate and close new revenue opportunities across MMPE clients, increasing share of wallet and expanding penetration across the fund lifecycle.
- Develop a deep understanding of client strategies, investment theses, deal pipelines and portfolio priorities to proactively identify opportunities.
- Lead rigorous account planning and commercial strategy development in partnership with GCSPs and account teams.
- Drive disciplined opportunity management, pipeline progression and conversion, with clear tracking of outcomes and ROI.
- Share learnings, best practice and insights across the MMPE and wider PE business to continuously improve performance.
Client Relationship Leadership
- Build, own and sustain senior‑level relationships with C‑suite, investment professionals and portfolio leadership within client organisations.
- Act as a trusted advisor to GCSPs and senior firm leadership, influencing account strategy and client engagement models.
- Represent the firm with credibility and executive presence in client interactions, including acting as a proxy for the GCSP where appropriate.
- Spend the majority of time engaging directly with clients, anticipating needs, resolving issues proactively and enhancing the overall client experience.
- Build strong external networks across the PE ecosystem to strengthen the firm’s market position.

Cross‑Functional & Cross‑Border Collaboration
- Work closely with GCSPs, deal teams, sector leaders and service line leadership to deliver coordinated, high‑impact client solutions.
- Lead the orchestration of cross‑functional and cross‑border teams to develop tailored proposals and responses to complex client needs.
- Act as a central point of connection between client leadership and internal teams, ensuring alignment and seamless delivery.
- Champion collaboration, knowledge sharing and innovation across the account team and the wider firm.
- Partner closely with Clients & Industries, Solutions & Services and Sales Enablement teams.
Leadership, Coaching & Firm Contribution
- Act as a sounding board and strategic partner to GCSPs on client strategy, relationship management and growth priorities.
- Coach, mentor and develop senior managers and managers, building future client and commercial leaders.
- Inspire high performance across account teams, role‑modelling inclusive leadership and collaboration.
- Prepare for and lead senior client meetings, maintaining the highest standards of professionalism, confidentiality and integrity.
- Contribute to MMPE and PE leadership priorities, initiatives and culture.
Personal & Career Development
- Take ownership of personal development and continuous learning, staying current on market, client and PE trends.
- Act as a role model for the firm’s values and behaviours.
- Support the development of others through coaching, mentoring and knowledge sharing.
Core Skills & Experience Requirements
Sales & Client Relationship Management
- 12+ years of business development experience in senior client leadership roles within professional services.
- Demonstrated experience working with private equity clients, including understanding of deal cycles, value creation and portfolio dynamics.
- Proven track record of selling complex, multi‑service offerings at C‑suite and senior investment professional level.
- Experience managing complex, global client relationships across geographies and service lines.
- Strong commercial judgement, client management and influencing skills.
