Client Executive/Broker – Professional Indemnity

We are seeking a talented individual to join our Financial and Professional Liability (FINPRO) Speciality at Marsh, within our Professional Indemnity team. This role will be based in Manchester with occasional travel to attend client meetings, as and when required. This is a hybrid role that has a requirement of working at least three days a week in the office.

  • You will join a team of 40+ experienced market professionals handling financial lines for our Corporate clients across the UK & Ireland

We will count on you to:

  • Manage a book of Professional Indemnity clients, working directly with the client and in collaboration with Corporate colleagues managing the wider relationship and other lines of insurance
  • Work closely with colleagues to deliver renewal and placement strategies
  • Negotiate with insurers to deliver PI renewals, both through Marsh’s market leading facilities and in the open market
  • Understand the clients’ business strategic priorities, risk strategies and risk management needs and provide advice accordingly to successfully serve clients
  • Advising clients on coverage queries, contract reviews and executing mid-term programme amendments
  • Work with the team to seek growth opportunities and subsequently win new business
  • Use knowledge of the PI insurance market to review clients’ exposures and loss experience and develop solutions for clients’ individual needs
  • Assist in presentations to existing and prospective clients and suggest innovative solutions
  • Build and maintain relationships with clients and Corporate colleagues across the business

  • Professional Indemnity experience
  • Excellent communication skills – both written (tenders, reports, presentations) and verbal (client meetings, colleague meetings and delivery of tenders and presentations)
  • Proven organisation abilities and ability to multi-task
  • Diligence, accuracy and ability to work to strict deadlines and under pressure
  • A problem-solving mentality – clients will occasionally present a challenge to us at the 11th hour and our team must always find a way to address it
  • Pride in maintaining the highest professional standards and appetite to challenge the status quo to ensure we deliver best possible outcomes for our clients
