Client-Facing Marketing Director | Executive Search | Confidential | £60,000 – £80,000 + benefits
📍London | Hybrid, highly flexible
I'm partnering with a well-regarded executive search firm, part of an international group of search and professional services businesses, to appoint its first client-facing Marketing Director. This is a newly created leadership-team role. Global leadership has agreed the firm needs a proactive marketing expert who can shape its profile with clients and candidates and guide internal thinking on brand, positioning, and business development. You'll support the firm globally and work across the group's wider portfolio companies, so the role has both strategic reach and real visibility.

This is a client-facing, senior leadership position reporting to the CEO. You'll work closely with partners and consultants to strengthen the firm's market presence, support new business, and raise its standing with senior hiring clients. You won't be handed a fixed brief on day one. Instead, you'll help set the priorities for your first 3 to 6 months, and the leadership team wants you to advise and challenge them as much as deliver. You'll start as a sole contributor, with genuine scope to build a team as the function grows.
What they're looking for
- Someone who enjoys working directly with clients and representing the firm externally
- A senior marketer who is comfortable being the go-to expert across the business, both internally and externally
- Someone who can set strategy and roll up their sleeves in a function that is still being built
- Confidence working with partners, senior leadership, and C-suite clients
- Experience in executive search, recruitment, or wider professional services is welcome, but it isn't essential

The package
- £60,000 – £80,000 base
- Very flexible working: the team typically spends 1 to 3 days a week in the office, and this varies
- Some international travel, including the annual leadership conference, recently held in South-East Asia
