Role Overview
Cartridge is looking for a creative, commercially minded, and highly organised Client-Facing Marketing Specialist to join our team on a contract basis.
Working closely with the Creative Director, you will support our clients by developing marketing strategies, managing campaigns, strengthening brands, and coordinating creative projects from initial idea through to delivery.
This role combines strategic thinking with practical execution. You will work directly with clients to understand their goals, develop marketing plans, organise content production, manage social channels, and ensure every piece of work is aligned with the brand and delivers against objectives.
We are looking for someone who can operate independently, communicate confidently with clients, and bring both creative judgement and commercial awareness to every project.
Key Responsibilities
Client Strategy & Account Management
- Build strong, long-term relationships with clients.
- Act as a trusted marketing contact and support clients with strategic direction.
- Understand client objectives, audiences, challenges, and opportunities.
- Develop tailored marketing strategies and campaign plans.
- Lead client meetings and present recommendations, ideas, and performance insights.
- Manage expectations, timelines, priorities, and deliverables.
- Identify opportunities to add value and support client growth.
Marketing Strategy & Campaign Delivery
- Develop integrated marketing strategies across relevant channels.
- Translate business objectives into clear marketing activity.
- Plan and execute campaigns across digital and traditional platforms.
- Monitor performance and recommend improvements.
- Research audiences, markets, and competitors to inform strategy.
- Measure results against agreed objectives.
Brand Development
- Create and maintain brand guidelines.
- Develop and refine messaging, tone of voice, and brand positioning.
- Ensure consistency across all customer touchpoints.
- Work with designers and creative partners to produce high-quality brand assets.
- Support clients in building stronger, more recognisable brands.
Creative Production
- Plan and coordinate photography and video shoots.
- Develop creative briefs, concepts, shot lists, and production schedules.
- Coordinate photographers, videographers, designers, suppliers, and other contributors.
- Manage production workflows from planning through to final delivery.
- Review creative output to ensure it meets quality standards and aligns with brand direction.

Content & Social Media
- Develop content strategies and social media calendars.
- Manage content planning, creation, scheduling, and publishing.
- Write copy for social media, websites, email campaigns, blogs, and promotional materials.
- Identify opportunities to improve engagement and audience growth.
- Review analytics and provide recommendations.
Marketing Materials & Project Delivery
- Coordinate the development of brochures, presentations, websites, sales materials, digital assets, and other marketing collateral.
- Work with creative partners and suppliers to deliver high-quality outputs.
- Manage multiple projects simultaneously while maintaining attention to detail.
- Keep clients informed and ensure smooth delivery.
Skills & Experience
Essential
- 3–5+ years' experience in marketing, branding, content, or client account management.
- Experience developing marketing strategies and campaign plans.
- Strong understanding of branding, positioning, and audience development.
- Experience managing social media and content marketing.
- Experience coordinating photography and video production.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Strong project management and organisational ability.
- Ability to manage multiple priorities and deadlines.
- Confidence working directly with clients and presenting ideas.
- Commercial understanding of how marketing supports business growth.
AI & Digital Tools
- Comfortable using AI tools (such as ChatGPT, Claude, Perplexity, or similar) to improve efficiency across research, planning, ideation, reporting, and workflow management.
- Understand that AI is a tool to support creativity and productivity, not a replacement for strategic thinking, professional judgement, or creative taste.
- Able to critically assess, refine, and improve AI-generated outputs to ensure quality, accuracy, originality, and alignment with brand objectives.
- Understand the security, privacy, confidentiality, and intellectual property considerations when using AI tools, particularly when handling client information.

Desirable
- Experience working within an agency or creative studio environment.
- Experience using Canva, Adobe Creative Suite, or similar tools.
- Knowledge of SEO, analytics, paid advertising, and email marketing.
- Experience with CRM and project management platforms.
- Photography, video, or content creation skills.
- Interest in technology and emerging creative tools.

- Becoming a trusted extension of the Cartridge team.
Contract Details
- Independent contractor engagement.
- 2-3 days per week.
- London office-based initially.
- £300-500/day.
