Client Facing Paraplanner

Our client is seeking an experienced, technically strong Client Facing Paraplanner to join its well-established financial planning business. This opportunity offers greater exposure to clients and complex financial planning work, while allowing the successful candidate to continue developing their technical expertise. Working alongside a senior adviser, you will support high-value client cases and contribute to the delivery of holistic financial advice.

The role is hybrid and based in County Down, Northern Ireland. This working pattern offers flexibility alongside opportunities to collaborate in person with the adviser and wider team.

The Role:

  • Attend client meetings alongside a senior financial adviser and support the advice process.
  • Prepare financial plans, suitability reports and meeting materials, and build cashflow models.
  • Research pensions, investments, protection and retirement planning, while ensuring documentation meets compliance standards.

The Person:

  • Experience in paraplanning, financial planning or wealth management, with strong technical knowledge.
  • Experience or knowledge of cashflow modelling and complex or higher-value cases.
  • Confidence working directly with clients, strong communication and analytical skills, and excellent attention to detail.
  • Ideally completed or working towards the Certified Financial Planner qualification; Chartered Financial Planner status or progress towards it will also be considered.

The Rewards:

  • Salary of up to £45,000, depending on experience and qualifications.
  • Full-time role with hybrid working.
  • Team-based bonus, currently approximately £1,500 per annum.
  • Employer pension contribution of 3%, private medical insurance, medical cash plan, death-in-service cover of four times salary and long-term income protection.
  • Ongoing professional development and support towards further qualifications.
