What We Do
Lvl Up is on a mission to be the go-to adviser for entrepreneurs and indies in the games space in the fields of finance, tax, legal and other business support areas.
There are countless exciting games businesses that need support but either aren’t at the scale to build out their own Finance team or have generalist bookkeepers who are not able to strategically support them as they scale. We work as a fractional in-house consultant offering cost-effective, pragmatic and genuinely value-adding advice.
We have ambitious plans to grow the team to expand both the depth and breadth of services so that we become a holistic solution on all the ‘business bits’ of a games studio. Collectively, we want to be a unified Swiss-army knife for studio leaders who want to focus on making games.
Lvl Up Approach
We pride ourselves on three pillars: Exceptional Quality, Highly Responsive, and Being Nice Humans. Whilst we expect responsiveness, it's not about working exceptionally long hours. It’s about flexibility and you having the freedom to manage your own time, to create something you love doing.
Healthy, balanced client relationships are key for high job satisfaction and avoiding burn-out. We will never work for clients purely for profit or at the expense of our mental health.
Why We Are Hiring
Lvl Up has had very low client attrition in its four year history and continues to grow through referrals and the reputation we've built within the games industry.
One year ago, we launched our In-House Finance Team to complement our existing CFO Advisory offering, allowing us to provide a fully integrated finance solution to games studios from company inception through to exit. The service has grown rapidly and now supports a diverse portfolio of UK and international clients, ranging from early-stage start-ups to established studios.
As our client base continues to expand, we're looking for a Client Finance Manager to join our growing team. You'll work alongside our Head of In-House Finance and two Client Accountants, helping to deliver an exceptional service while playing a key role in the next stage of the department's growth.

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?
Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.
Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.
