Client Finance Supervisor - Property Management

West Midlands (Evesham or Coventry)
£33k 6 month FTC (likely to extend)

We’re recruiting a Client Finance Supervisor for a growing residential property management business, with the role available from either its Evesham or Coventry office.

This is a great opportunity for someone with experience in service charge accounting, client accounting or residential block management finance who is ready to take genuine ownership of a portfolio.

This isn’t a transactional finance or data-entry position. You’ll be responsible for making sure the client money and service charge accounting across your portfolio is accurate, reconciled and properly controlled, while also providing day-to-day support and guidance to other members of the finance team.

The role

You’ll take responsibility for the financial management of a portfolio of residential developments, including:

  • Preparing year-end service charge accounts
  • Regularly reconciling service charge bank accounts, reserve/sinking funds and client money
  • Preparing and issuing service charge budgets and demands
  • Managing supplier invoices, coding and payment runs
  • Monitoring budget vs actual expenditure
  • Owning credit control and arrears management across your portfolio
  • Supporting year-end audits and accountant certification
  • Handling financial queries from leaseholders, freeholders, RMC/RTM directors, property managers and auditors
  • Supporting Section 20 requirements where costs impact service charge demands
  • Maintaining accurate and compliant client money records
  • Investigating and resolving discrepancies within service charge accounts
  • Supporting the onboarding and opening balance reconciliation of newly managed developments
  • Providing day-to-day supervision, support and training to colleagues within the finance team
  • Helping improve processes and financial controls as the business continues to grow

Reasons to use Rodeo

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?

Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.

Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Start with a chat, not a search bar

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.

Experience using specialist property accounting systems such as Blockman, Qube, TRAMPS or PropMan would be particularly useful.

An AAT qualification, part-qualification in ACCA/CIMA/ACA or equivalent experience would be advantageous, but relevant hands-on property accounting experience is more important.

Why consider it?

This role offers considerably more ownership than a traditional transactional property finance position. You’ll have responsibility for your own portfolio, work directly with internal and external stakeholders, support other members of the team and have the opportunity to influence how processes develop as the business grows.

If you have a background in service charge accounting, client accounting or residential property finance and would like to hear more, please apply or get in touch for a confidential conversation.
