The Job Profile

Due to the growth within our Client Sales and Distribution services, Simon & Schuster UK Ltd are looking to appoint a Client Inventory Assistant within our Publishing Operations team. This role will be responsible for running stock reports and assisting the Publishing Operations Executive for all Simon & Schuster’s Clients including; VIZ Media, Andrews McMeel Publishing, Rebellion, Black Library, Inner Traditions, Authors Equity, Red Wheel Weiser and New Modern.

This role will require the individual to run availability reports and help manage stock levels, maintain availability, KPI reporting which lead to making decisions on initial orders and managing the life cycle of a book across our Clients in the UK.

The Job Role

Reporting to the Head of Publishing Operations, your role will include shared responsibility on all title orders ensuring key delivery dates and costs are met.

This role will involve working with both publishing and warehouse systems and assist in the preparations for meetings associated with the management of our clients front and backlist titles.

You will have the ability to run availability reports and help manage stock levels

The post holder will work closely with other key aspects of the business, warehouse, and freight forwarders.

The Candidate Profile

The ideal candidate will have knowledge of, or experience in, inventory management, logistics, supply chain operations, stock control, and freight, although full training will be provided. You will be an effective communicator, confident in building strong relationships with both internal and external stakeholders, and will thrive in a small, hardworking team environment.

  • Strong administrative, organisational, and time management skills are essential
  • A keen eye for detail and accuracy
  • Excellent data analysis skills and the ability to make sound, independent decisions
  • Commercial awareness, a positive "can-do" attitude, and the ability to manage multiple priorities effectively are key to succeeding in this role

Starting from £27,000
