Location: London (Hybrid – 3 days per week in the office)

Salary: Up to £64,000 + excellent benefits

The Opportunity

An exciting opportunity has arisen for a Client Leadership Account Director to join one of the UK's leading independent media agencies.

Renowned for producing award-winning work, the agency has also built an outstanding reputation for its collaborative culture, commitment to sustainability, employee wellbeing, and diversity & inclusion.

This role offers the opportunity to take ownership of two high-profile client accounts, delivering exceptional client service while driving strategic media planning and commercial growth.

Working with some of the agency's largest UK-based clients, you will lead day-to-day relationships, oversee integrated media campaigns, and collaborate with specialist teams to deliver innovative, insight-led solutions. You will also contribute to new business pitches and play an important role in developing junior talent within the team.

Key Responsibilities

  • Act as the senior day-to-day contact for key client accounts, building trusted, long-term relationships.
  • Deliver an exceptional client experience while supporting the Business Director across strategic accounts.
  • Coordinate planning, strategy, and cross-functional teams to deliver high-quality integrated media campaigns.
  • Ensure all client work is strategically informed by business objectives, market insights, and competitor analysis.
  • Oversee campaign delivery, reporting, and performance, maintaining the highest standards across all outputs.
  • Work closely with Operations, Commercial, and Investment teams to ensure campaigns are delivered efficiently and profitably.
  • Provide strategic recommendations, bringing fresh thinking around media, data, measurement, and effectiveness.
  • Support new business activity, including agency pitches and onboarding new clients.
  • Mentor and coach junior colleagues, with increasing people management responsibilities.
  • Contribute to wider agency initiatives and help shape best practice across the Client Leadership function.

About You

You will already have experience managing client relationships within a media agency environment and be confident leading integrated campaigns from briefing through to delivery.

You will bring:

  • Around 5+ years' experience in a client-facing media agency role.
  • Strong media knowledge across all channels.
  • Proven client and stakeholder management experience.
  • Excellent presentation and communication skills.
  • Experience using media planning systems and research tools.
  • Strong organisational skills with the ability to manage multiple campaigns simultaneously.
  • A solid understanding of campaign effectiveness and measurement frameworks.
  • A proactive, collaborative approach with a genuine passion for the media industry.
  • A keen interest in emerging trends, innovation, and continuous improvement.
