About the Role
We are seeking a dedicated Permanent Client Manager to join our client's accountancy firm team in Watford, Hertfordshire. The successful candidate will be responsible for managing a portfolio of clients, ensuring timely and accurate delivery of statutory accounts and other financial reporting requirements. A key aspect of this role involves working extensively with Xero accounting software.
Key Responsibilities
- Manage a portfolio of owner-managed businesses, SMEs, and private clients
- Prepare statutory accounts for limited companies, partnerships, and sole traders
- Prepare corporation tax computations and returns
- Prepare and review VAT returns, bookkeeping, and management accounts
- Build strong client relationships and act as a key point of contact for day-to-day queries
- Liaise directly with clients to obtain accounting records and resolve outstanding matters
- Support clients with cloud accounting software and process improvements

Requirements
- Experience in preparing and managing statutory accounts
- Proficiency in Xero accounting software
- Previous experience as a Client Manager or in a similar role
- Strong organisational skills
- Attention to detail
- Excellent communication skills to liaise effectively with clients and internal teams, ensuring all deadlines are met and client expectations are exceeded
