About the Company

Our client, an international commercial insurance organisation, is seeking an experienced Client Manager to join its growing Client Engagement team.

About the Role

The role will lead relationships with major clients and prospects across Europe, acting as a senior point of contact for clients and brokers. The successful candidate will coordinate cross-functional teams, develop strategic account plans and align the organisation’s insurance proposition with client objectives to support growth, retention and service improvement. This is a high-profile opportunity for an insurance professional with experience managing large or complex accounts, multinational programmes and senior stakeholder relationships.

Responsibilities

  • Act as the visible relationship lead for key clients and brokers.
  • Oversee service delivery, monitor performance and act as a senior escalation point.
  • Lead cross-functional teams in developing and delivering strategic client and prospect plans.
  • Manage account activity from initial planning through to completion.
  • Build a detailed understanding of client and broker objectives.
  • Align the organisation’s value proposition with client needs to support retention and growth.
  • Partner with distribution, underwriting, marketing and bid teams to deliver consistent messaging and high-quality client materials.
  • Embed and develop a consistent client engagement approach across European operations.
  • Gather and manage client and broker feedback, identify root causes and lead improvement actions.
  • Monitor insurance market developments and use relevant insight to strengthen client propositions and competitive positioning.
  • Contribute to strategic initiatives and projects supporting wider business objectives.
  • Support colleagues across a matrix organisation to deliver coordinated value for clients.

Qualifications

  • Proven experience in a comparable, high-profile role supporting large or complex clients.
  • Strong technical insurance knowledge.
  • Experience working with non-conventional and multinational insurance programmes.
  • Strong understanding of client, broker and insurance market dynamics.
  • Experience leading cross-functional teams across pitches, account planning, client stewardship and feedback programmes.
  • Ability to simplify complex concepts and present them clearly to senior stakeholders.
  • Strong communication, influencing and stakeholder management skills.
  • Experience building effective relationships across a matrix organisation.
  • Strong strategic planning, critical thinking and problem-solving capabilities.
  • Ability to navigate ambiguity and manage competing priorities.
  • A collaborative approach and the ability to support colleagues in delivering client value.
