Job Description:

We are looking for an experienced and motivated Client Manager to help grow our Golf Division. In this position you will be responsible for the recruitment of amateur and professional golfers in the UK and internationally. Responsibilities will include, but are not limited to, recruitment of new clients, successful negotiation of professional services and/or marketing contracts, retention of clients, servicing the clients and their contracts, and the generation of new business opportunities.

Responsibilities and Duties:

  • Identify potential new client recruits by conducting research, following industry news and attending industry/show case events;
  • Recruit new clients by strategically leveraging relationships in the industry and securing the opportunity to represent Octagon to the decision makers;
  • Meet and set revenue goals by initiation and successful execution of business opportunities and/or contract negotiation for clients;
  • Lead and ensure timely resolution or completion of various client management projects including contract issues, financial services, and marketing contracts;
  • Monitor industry trends and identify future business opportunities for assigned clients;
  • Assist with various other division wide or companywide events, meetings and recruitment of clients;
  • Contribute to research projects for contract negotiations, including gathering statistics and other athlete data.

Required Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in marketing or other related field, and at least 5 years of relevant representation and marketing experience in the sports industry;
  • Strong network and established relationships in the Golf industry;
  • Track record of successful negotiation of complex deals;
  • Ability to produce high quality work and handle multiple projects in fast-paced environment;
  • Ability to use good business judgment in situations where discretion is required;
  • Ability to work closely with employees, clients, and outside vendors;
  • Demonstrate ability to build relationships and work in a pro-active manner;
  • Track record of revenue generation by successful representation and marketing deals;
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills;
  • Enthusiasm for client service and team player attitude;
  • Excellent organizational skills, accuracy and attention to detail
