The Role

As a Client Manager, you'll be at the forefront of the UK's National Security landscape, helping customers solve complex challenges through innovative technology solutions. Acting as the bridge between customer needs and QinetiQ's world-class capabilities, you'll build strategic relationships, shape new opportunities, and drive business growth while making a tangible impact on some of the nation's most critical missions.

Day-to-day, working across multiple National Security accounts, you’ll identify emerging customer needs, develop compelling value propositions and bring together expertise from across the business to create solutions that differentiate QinetiQ in the market.

Your responsibilities will include:

  • Support the development of strategic opportunities across multiple National Security customers by identifying where QinetiQ can create the greatest customer value and competitive advantage
  • Create clear, differentiated value propositions that communicate how QinetiQ’s capabilities solve complex customer challenges and support mission outcomes
  • Identify emerging technologies, research and innovation from across QinetiQ and the wider market, translating them into customer-relevant solutions that create new opportunities and strengthen our market position
  • Build strong relationships across IDTS and the wider business to bring together the right technical experts, products and capabilities to support customer engagement and business growth
  • Develop a strong understanding of the National Security landscape, customer priorities, technology trends and procurement activity, ensuring QinetiQ remains aligned to future customer demand
  • Work closely with Account Directors, Business Development teams and technical specialists to shape opportunities, support customer engagement and increase win probability across the sales pipeline

Essential experience of the Senior Client Manager:

  • Passion for emerging technologies and their application within National Security, including AI, Space, Data Intelligence, Autonomous Systems, Quantum and Digital Engineering
  • Strong relationship-building skills with the ability to connect people and develop trusted partnerships
  • Naturally curious, forward-thinking, and motivated to identify new opportunities and innovations
  • Able to translate complex technical concepts into compelling customer-focused solutions and narratives
  • Commercially minded with a strong understanding of customer value, growth opportunities, and business development
  • Influential and collaborative, capable of bringing diverse teams together while balancing strategic thinking with a proactive, results-driven approach

Essential qualifications for the Senior Client Manager:

We value difference and we don’t have a fixed idea when it comes to background or education, provided you can show the required level of experience and willingness to learn then we would like to hear from you.

This role is 37 hours per week based at our London site with a minimum average site attendance of three days per week. Travel to other QinetiQ and customer sites will be expected

QinetiQ operates state-of-the-art facilities across the UK that focus on defence, security and technology innovation. These facilities enable QinetiQ to conduct a wide range of research, testing and development activities that support both military and civilian applications helping to advance technology and support national security.

Please note that all applicants for this role must hold or be eligible for eDV clearance, as a minimum.
