About Stewart Accounting Services

Stewart Accounting Services is a growing accountancy firm supporting owner-managed businesses, limited companies, sole traders, and partnerships.

We work closely with our clients to help them understand their finances, meet their accounting and tax obligations, and make informed business decisions. Our approach is personable, responsive, and commercially focused.

We are now looking for an experienced practice accountant to join us as a Client Manager / Senior Accountant.

About The Role

You will manage a varied portfolio of clients and act as one of their main points of contact. Alongside delivering accurate accounts and tax work, you will build long-term client relationships and provide practical support beyond year-end compliance.

This position would suit someone who is comfortable taking ownership of their work, managing competing deadlines, and providing a high standard of client service.

You will also have the opportunity to support junior colleagues, contribute to internal improvements, and work closely with the leadership team as the firm continues to grow.

What you’ll be doing

  • Managing a portfolio of limited company, partnership, and sole trader clients.
  • Acting as a main point of contact and building strong, long-term client relationships.
  • Providing accounting, tax, and general business support.
  • Preparing and reviewing annual accounts.
  • Preparing and reviewing VAT returns.
  • Preparing and reviewing corporation tax returns.
  • Preparing and reviewing personal tax returns.
  • Supporting clients with cloud accounting software, including Xero and FreeAgent.
  • Managing deadlines and workflow across your portfolio.
  • Ensuring work is completed accurately and on time.
  • Supporting and reviewing the work of junior team members where appropriate.
  • Assisting with ad hoc projects.
  • Contributing to improvements in internal systems and processes.
  • Working closely with the leadership team to maintain high service standards and a positive client experience.

Reasons to use Rodeo

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?

Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.

Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Start with a chat, not a search bar

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.
