Purpose of the Role

As the face of BSI, the role of the Auditor (Client Manager) is to work closely with BSI clients to help them improve their performance by assessing their systems and processes against BSI standards, regulatory requirements, or voluntary standards. After each management system assessment, the Client Manager compiles a business report and presents it to the client. Key Responsibilities & Accountabilities

  • Verification as required by our clients in accordance with regulated schemes (e.g., UK ETS, EU CBAM), voluntary accredited schemes (e.g., ISO 14064-1 and ISO 14068-1) and specific audit protocols; verification of sustainability reports in accordance with ISSA 5000 and local reporting standards.
  • Creation of verification opinions and issuing them to clients.
  • Conducting independent technical reviews of verification work delivered by other members of the team.
  • Delivery of audits for ISO 14001 / ISO 50001 and other complementary schemes.
  • Recommend the issue, re-issue, or withdrawal of certificates and report recommendations in accordance with BSI policy, procedures, and prescribed timeframes.
  • Prepare assessment reports and deliver findings to clients, ensuring clear understanding of assessment decisions and corrective actions where appropriate.
  • Add value to clients through the assessment of their systems and processes against BSI requirements.
  • Uphold BSI’s reputation through excellent planning, delivery, report writing, and professional interactions with clients and key stakeholders.
  • Demonstrate commercial acumen and a professional, engaging approach when providing feedback to clients.
  • Lead assessment teams as required, ensuring team members are adequately briefed and quality of service is maintained.
  • Establish effective client partnerships that support client satisfaction and opportunities for business development.
  • Provide accurate and timely information to service teams and ensure client records and internal information are complete and up to date.
  • Plan and schedule workloads effectively to maximize revenue-earning activity.
  • Coach and support colleagues, including inexperienced assessors and new team members, as appropriate.
  • Maintain and enhance appropriate professional qualification status in relevant disciplines.
  • Actively engage with the Delivery Team, peers, and key stakeholders to support continual improvement in line with BSI standards of Assessor Excellence.

Reasons to use Rodeo

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?

Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.

Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Start with a chat, not a search bar

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.
