Who we are looking for

We are seeking an experienced Client Manager to join our SSTL Client Management team in London or Edinburgh. This is a client-facing role responsible for supporting strategic relationships with asset management clients and serving as a point of contact for Depositary services.

The successful candidate will work closely alongside SSTL colleagues, including legal and compliance functions, to deliver exceptional oversight and service, support business growth initiatives, operational efficiencies and ensure effective oversight and governance across SSTL’s client relationships.

The Client Management team is central to the success of SSTL's client-centric strategy, responsible for building trusted client relationships, driving client satisfaction and retention, and coordinating the delivery of key business and fund change initiatives while maintaining effective oversight in the best interests of our clients’ investors. The role ensures clients receive exceptional service while supporting SSTL's regulatory, fiduciary, and risk management obligations, helping to safeguard and grow one of the UK's leading Trustee and Depositary businesses.

Why this role is important to us

You will be joining the Investment Services function that allows us to deliver a comprehensive, holistic approach to each client relationship — for asset managers and asset owners, insurance companies, and official institutions globally. It means our client-facing functions work together to bring the very best solutions and services the firm has to offer — across all of our locations, products, and capabilities.

Join us if making your mark on the long-lasting client relationships we build is a challenge you are up for.

What you will be responsible for

As a Client Manager, you will:

  • Support the primary relationship managers across SSTL’s portfolio of UK clients.
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with key client stakeholders.
  • Coordinate effective Depositary service delivery across the SSTL teams.
  • Participate in, and potentially lead, regular client service reviews and governance meetings.
  • Monitor client satisfaction levels and identify opportunities to enhance the client experience.
  • Coordinate responses to client due diligence requests, regulatory enquiries and service reviews.
  • Manage client escalations, ensuring timely resolution and effective communication.
  • Partner with operational, legal, compliance and risk teams to address client requirements, areas of risk and regulatory developments.
  • Support new business opportunities, client onboarding activities and product launches.
  • Identify opportunities for revenue growth, service enhancement and deepening client relationships.
  • Support and maintain strong team governance and record-keeping and the effective execution of team controls.
  • Maintain awareness of industry, regulatory and market developments impacting the funds industry.
  • Ensuring that the highest level of the Code of Conduct is displayed in your own behaviour.

Reasons to use Rodeo

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?

Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.

Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Start with a chat, not a search bar

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.
