My client, a growing and ambitious accountancy practice, is looking to appoint an experienced Client Manager to join their team and take responsibility for managing a diverse portfolio of clients, providing a high level of service and delivering commercial accountancy and tax advice.

This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced practice professional who enjoys building strong client relationships, managing a portfolio and supporting the continued growth of a successful firm.
The Role
- Managing a portfolio of SME and owner-managed business clients, acting as a trusted advisor
- Building and maintaining strong client relationships and providing proactive advice
- Preparing and reviewing accounts, tax returns and other compliance work
- Providing corporate and personal tax advisory support where required
- Identifying opportunities to add value and support clients with their business goals
- Managing client deadlines, workflow, WIP, recoverability and billing
- Reviewing work prepared by junior members of the team and providing guidance where required
- Supporting the development and mentoring of junior staff
- Working collaboratively with partners and senior managers to deliver an excellent client experience
- Utilising technology and improving processes to enhance efficiency and service delivery

The Ideal Candidate
- ACCA and/or CTA qualified (or qualified by experience)
- 5+ years’ experience within a UK accountancy practice environment
- Strong experience managing a portfolio of SME and owner-managed business clients
- Good knowledge of accounts preparation and corporate/personal tax compliance
- Experience providing advisory support and adding commercial value to clients
- Strong communication and relationship-building skills
- Ability to manage workloads, deadlines and client expectations effectively
- A commercially minded individual with the ambition to progress within a growing firm
