A well-established and highly regarded accountancy practice near Weston-super-Mare is seeking an experienced Client Manager to join its growing team.

This is an excellent opportunity for a qualified practice professional looking to take the next step in their career, working closely with a diverse portfolio of owner-managed businesses, limited companies, partnerships and sole traders across a range of sectors.

The Role

As Client Manager, you will take responsibility for managing a portfolio of clients, acting as their trusted advisor and ensuring the delivery of a high-quality service. You will work closely with the partners and senior leadership team whilst supporting and developing junior members of staff.

Key responsibilities will include:

  • Managing a portfolio of clients and acting as their primary point of contact.
  • Reviewing statutory accounts, management accounts and tax returns.
  • Providing business and tax advice to clients.
  • Building and maintaining strong long-term client relationships.
  • Managing client deadlines and ensuring work is delivered efficiently and accurately.
  • Supporting, mentoring and reviewing the work of junior team members.
  • Assisting with workflow management and helping to develop internal processes.
  • Identifying opportunities to provide additional services and add value to clients.

About You

The successful candidate will be:

  • ACA or ACCA qualified.
  • Experienced within a UK accountancy practice environment.
  • Currently operating at Assistant Manager level or above.
  • Able to demonstrate previous people management, supervision or mentoring experience.
  • Comfortable managing a varied portfolio of clients.
  • Technically strong with experience across accounts, tax and general practice services.
  • An excellent communicator with strong relationship-building skills.
  • Commercially aware and focused on delivering outstanding client service.
