Well-established and highly regarded independent accountancy practice based in Coventry seeking an experienced Client Manager to join their growing team. The firm provides a comprehensive range of audit, accounting, tax and advisory services to an established portfolio of owner-managed businesses, SMEs and private clients across a variety of sectors. Your new role

As Client Manager, you will take responsibility for managing a portfolio of clients, acting as their primary point of contact and ensuring the delivery of a high-quality, responsive service. You will oversee the preparation and review of statutory accounts, corporation tax returns and management accounts, whilst also taking an active role in audit assignments. You will be responsible for planning and managing audit engagements, ensuring work is completed efficiently and in compliance with relevant standards and regulations.

The role will involve providing practical advice to clients on accounting and tax matters, maintaining strong client relationships and identifying opportunities to support their business growth. You will work closely with Directors to deliver an excellent client experience and contribute to the continued success of the firm. You will also support and develop junior members of the team through supervision, mentoring and review of their work.

What you'll need to succeed

You will be ACA or ACCA qualified with strong experience gained within a UK accountancy practice environment. You will have a proven track record of managing a portfolio of clients and delivering audit, accounts and tax services. Strong technical knowledge across audit and financial reporting is essential, together with a good understanding of UK taxation.

Alongside your technical ability, you will be an effective communicator with excellent relationship-building skills and a genuine commitment to providing exceptional client service. The ability to manage multiple priorities, work independently and support junior team members will also be key.
