Commercial Client Manager / Account Executive - Leeds

What the day will look like

In this role, you’ll act as a trusted adviser to Mid-Market businesses across the UK, working closely with owners, MDs and FDs to understand their risks and deliver tailored insurance and risk management solutions. You’ll combine strong client relationships with commercial drive, using the full breadth of Aon’s capabilities to help clients protect, grow and future-proof their businesses — while building a profitable and sustainable portfolio of your own. Responsibilities will include:

  • Building trusted relationships with business owners and senior decision-makers, acting as their primary risk and insurance adviser
  • Designing and delivering bespoke insurance programmes, supported by proactive risk management and claims advocacy
  • Identifying new business opportunities, referrals and cross-sell solutions through Delivering Aon United
  • Owning and developing a strong pipeline of new and existing opportunities to drive revenue growth
  • Collaborating with specialist teams across Aon to deliver joined-up, high-quality client solutions
  • Managing your client portfolio in line with Aon’s risk, compliance and governance frameworks

How this opportunity is different

Skills and experience that will lead to success

  • Proven client relationship experience in the insurance industry, with experience in the core lines of commercial risks is essential.
  • Experience dealing with Mid-market commercial and corporate insurance risks is desirable.
  • Commercial understanding of business i.e. market forces, business drivers, market dynamics, competitors and risks, etc.
  • A growth mindset with an eye for new business opportunities
  • An effective communicator and presenter.
  • Client focused with a consultative approach and dedication to excellence in the provision of client service.
