Client Money Controls Coordinator
We are looking for a highly organised and analytical Client Money Controls Coordinator to join our Finance and IBA Operations team. This is an exciting opportunity to play a key role in maintaining and enhancing our Client & Insurer Money control framework while supporting a strong regulatory environment across the business.
Working closely with stakeholders across Operations, Risk & Compliance, Finance and Client Money Audit, you will help ensure our controls remain robust, effective and compliant with FCA Client Asset Sourcebook (CASS) requirements. You will also be responsible for coordinating control attestations, supporting regulatory reporting and driving continuous improvements across the client money control environment.
This role would suit someone with experience in financial services, risk, controls, audit, compliance or client money operations who is looking to further develop their expertise within a regulatory and governance-focused environment.
What will you do as a Client Money Controls Coordinator?
- Oversee and proactively review Client & Insurer Money controls through our risk management framework and online risk event portal.
- Coordinate quarterly control attestation processes with key stakeholders across the business.
- Support the implementation of new controls and enhancements to existing control processes.
- Maintain the CASS Risk Assessment, ensuring risks are appropriately identified, documented and linked to effective controls.
- Produce monthly client money reporting, management information and analytics.
- Maintain the central breach register, ensuring all CASS 5 and CASS 8 breaches are accurately recorded and monitored.
- Build strong working relationships with senior stakeholders, operational teams and external auditors.
- Identify control gaps, process inefficiencies and opportunities for continuous improvement.
- Support compliance with FCA Client Asset Sourcebook requirements and internal governance standards.

What are we looking for in our next Client Money Controls Coordinator?
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Strong organisational skills with a high level of attention to detail.
- Analytical and investigative problem-solving abilities.
- The ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
- Confidence working independently and collaboratively with a wide range of stakeholders.
- Knowledge of CASS regulations, particularly CASS 5 and CASS 8.
- Experience working within a regulated financial services environment.
- Previous experience within the insurance sector.
- Exposure to risk, controls, audit, compliance or client money functions.
