Commercial Strategy & Enterprise Sales at Valence

About the Role
You’ll collaborate directly with senior leaders—including CHROs, CEOs, and C-suite executives—at Fortune 500 companies to guide them through meaningful AI adoption.
Primary Responsibilities
- Consultative & Commercial recently make up owned long-cycle sales, focusing on:
- Executive relationship management
- Business case development
- Pilot design for enterprise adoption
- Category Creator: Invent a new sales motion for AI coaching in enterprises.
- Growth Leadership:
- Own complex enterprise opportunities from engagement to close
- Partner with Product, Customer Success, and Leadership to refine our go-to-market strategy
- Strategic Insights: Translate market trends into actionable commercial strategies
- Ownership Culture:
- No commissions, no high-volume KPIs
- Compensation tied to team success—we grow together

- Collaborate with Fortune 500 technology leaders on complex enterprise deployments
- Gain real-world expertise in AI transformation across industries

Key Responsibilities (What You’ll Do)
- Enterprise Opportunity Development: Own end-to-end initiatives, from engagement through close
- Executive Relationships: Cultivate trust with senior stakeholders (CHROs, CEOs, C-suite)
- Business Case Creation: Link AI adoption to measurable business outcomes
- Pilot Design: Structure high-impact pilots to accelerate adoption and showcase ROI
- Cross-Functional Collaboration: Work alongside Product, Customer Success, and Leadership to refine positioning and strategies
- Market Intelligence: Translate insights into commercial strategy that drives global go-to-market success
- Strategic Influence: Help build the foundation for a scalable, differentiated commercial motion as Valence expands
What We’re Looking For
• Minimum Experience 6–10 years of professional experience in:
- Consulting, investment banking, commercial strategy, or enterprise environments
• Key Qualifications ✔ Proven record of driving high-stakes enterprise decisions ✔ Ability to influence multi-stakeholder outcomes ✔ Takes ownership of complex opportunities and results ✔ Balances strategic thinking with operational execution ✔ Thrives in ambiguity, turning chaos into clarity ✔ Intellectual curiosity about AI evolution, organizational change, and scaling new categories

Location & Environment
- Mandatory: At least 3 days/week in office (Union Square, NY)
- Flexibility: Remote or hybrid days (Tues-Thurs) to accommodate global timezone differences (including UK)
