Lead a High Performing Pension Administration Team
IRIS Software Group is one of the UK's leading providers of mission-critical software and services, supporting over 120,000 customers across payroll, HR, finance, education and accountancy sectors. We are looking for an experienced Client Pension Team Lead to join our growing Managed Services division and help deliver exceptional pension administration services to our clients.
The Role
This is a leadership position that combines people management, operational oversight and pensions expertise. You'll be responsible for leading a team delivering Local Government Pension Scheme (LGPS) administration services, ensuring service levels, quality standards and customer expectations are consistently met.
Working closely with the Client Pension Manager, you'll oversee team performance, support new client implementations, manage workload planning and drive continuous improvement initiatives across the function.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead, coach and develop a team of pension administration professionals.
- Manage departmental KPIs, productivity measures and service level agreements.
- Schedule and allocate workloads to ensure efficient service delivery.
- Monitor quality standards and identify opportunities for process improvement.
- Act as the first point of escalation for client concerns and operational issues.
- Produce management reporting and operational performance insights.
- Support recruitment, onboarding and development of new team members.
- Ensure accurate and timely pension administration processing.
- Maintain strong understanding of pension legislation and industry developments.
- Support LGPS end-of-year activities and client service meetings.

About You
We're looking for an experienced pensions professional with a passion for leadership and customer service.
You'll bring:
- 3-5 years' pension administration experience ideally within an Education environment.
- Strong knowledge of pension legislation and pension processes, LGPS highly advantageous.
- Experience leading, coaching or mentoring colleagues.
- Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills.
- High levels of accuracy and attention to detail.
- Strong organisational and planning capability.
- Good working knowledge of Excel, Word and Outlook.
- A proactive and solutions-focused approach to problem solving.
