Relationship Manager

BPIC Network serves as a dedicated certification body and professional community focused on fostering inclusivity within the built environment and related sectors. We are currently seeking a commercially driven Relationship Manager to elevate our client interactions, drive new business growth, and ensure a superior experience for our members. This dynamic position requires a proactive individual capable of seamlessly integrating client service, strategic marketing, business development, and the management of events and membership programs to support our expanding network.

Responsibilities

Client Relationship Management

  • Cultivate and sustain robust, trust-based partnerships with current clients, members, and strategic partners.
  • Serve as the central contact point, ensuring all inquiries are addressed with promptness and professionalism.
  • Resolve issues and complaints through empathetic listening, sound judgment, and a focus on practical solutions.
  • Maintain precise client databases, monitor interaction histories, and pinpoint strategies to enhance satisfaction and retention rates.

Memberships, Renewals & Retention

  • Oversee the complete membership lifecycle, from initial onboarding through active engagement and contract renewal.
  • Execute timely renewal notifications, follow-up sequences, and targeted retention initiatives.
  • Continuously monitor membership activity and feedback loops to flag potential risks and emerging opportunities.
  • Clearly articulate the value proposition of BPIC Network's certification and membership offerings to all stakeholders.

Business Development

  • Generate and nurture a robust pipeline of potential clients, new members, and strategic alliances.
  • Conduct research on target entities, identify key decision-makers, and devise customized outreach strategies.
  • Lead initial discovery meetings, effectively communicate BPIC Network's value, and convert prospects into long-term partners.
  • Collaborate with leadership on proposals, partnership structures, and commercial negotiations to achieve growth objectives.

Events & Community Engagement

  • Orchestrate member events, roundtables, networking gatherings, and client meetings from conceptualization through post-event follow-up.
  • Coordinate logistics including invitations, registrations, speaker management, venue selection, supplier engagement, and attendee communication.
  • Represent the organization professionally at all events and facilitate valuable networking introductions.
  • Collect attendee feedback and assess event metrics, engagement levels, and commercial impact.

Marketing & Client Communications

  • Design compelling communications for clients and members across email, newsletters, social platforms, and other channels.
  • Partner with internal teams and external allies to highlight events, membership advantages, certification achievements, and success stories.
  • Produce or oversee clear marketing materials that drive engagement, lead generation, and member retention.
  • Analyze campaign performance and engagement data to refine and improve future marketing activities.

Requirements

Essential Skills & Experience

  • Demonstrated track record in client relations, account management, membership services, partnership development, or business growth.
  • Solid background in marketing, client engagement strategies, and relationship cultivation.
  • Proven ability to secure new opportunities and maintain high retention rates for clients or members.
  • Experience in organizing professional events and managing diverse stakeholder groups.
  • Proficiency in handling inquiries, resolving complaints, and navigating sensitive conversations while preserving long-term relationships.
  • Superior written and verbal communication, presentation, negotiation, and organizational capabilities.
  • Strong commercial acumen, initiative, and the capacity to prioritize tasks independently.
  • Competency in Microsoft Office Suite and familiarity with CRM or membership management systems.

Desirable Skills & Experience

  • Familiarity with the construction industry or the broader built-environment sector.
  • Prior experience within professional networks, membership organizations, or accreditation and certification frameworks.
  • Proficiency with email marketing platforms, social media tools, and content creation software.
  • A genuine passion for diversity, inclusion, and the advancement of positive workplace cultures.
