Client Relationship Director
Hampton | £95,000+ up to 20% bonus
Full-time | Predominantly office-based
We are recruiting for an experienced Client Relationship Director to lead a well-established client relationship function within a successful B2B service-led organisation.
This is a senior leadership appointment with responsibility for a portfolio of approximately 50 clients and a team of five direct reports, including Client Relationship Managers and the Head of Customer Service and Business Improvement.
The successful individual will play a key role in strengthening senior client relationships, developing the client management function and working closely with the wider senior leadership team.
The role
- Lead, develop and support a team of five direct reports across Client Relationship Management and Customer Service.
- Take overall responsibility for a portfolio of approximately 50 client accounts.
- Build strong, credible relationships with senior client stakeholders.
- Act as a senior escalation point for key client matters.
- Ensure consistently high standards of client service and relationship management.
- Work closely with the senior management team to support wider business objectives.
- Identify opportunities to strengthen and develop existing client relationships.
- Monitor client performance, service delivery and satisfaction.
- Support the continued development of the Client Relationship function, ensuring clear structure, accountability and high performance.
- Work collaboratively across operational and commercial teams to ensure client expectations are understood and delivered.

Initial priorities
During the first 6–12 months, a key focus will be establishing strong relationships with:
- The immediate Client Relationship and Customer Service team.
- Senior contacts across the existing client portfolio.
- The wider senior management team.
The pace and scope of the wider priorities will depend partly on the successful individual’s existing industry knowledge and experience.
About you
We are open on sector background and are particularly interested in individuals who can demonstrate:
- Significant experience leading Client Relationship, Client Services or Account Management teams within a complex B2B service environment.
- Strong people leadership experience with responsibility for developing and managing established teams.
- Experience managing senior-level client relationships and key accounts.
- Excellent stakeholder management skills with the confidence to operate at Director and senior leadership level.
- Strong commercial awareness and the ability to understand the wider value and importance of long-term client relationships.
- A strategic approach combined with the willingness to remain close to clients and day-to-day relationship activity.
- The ability to build credibility quickly with both internal and external stakeholders.
- Excellent communication, influencing and relationship-building skills.

Previous experience within automotive, fleet or a related industry would be beneficial but is not essential.
Package
- Salary: £95,000 depending on experience.
- Performance-related bonus of up to 20%.
- 9% linked to company financial performance.
- 11% linked to individual objectives.
- Hampton-based.
- Expected to be office-based five days per week, with occasional home working.
- Senior leadership opportunity with responsibility for an established client portfolio and team.
